Language (Konkani)

Konkani Language is one of the Official languages of India. "Devanagari" has been mandated as the official script for Konkani Language. It has approximately 7.6 million speakers of its two individual languages, Konkani and Goan Konkani, Both languages are named after the Konkan region as a KONKANI.

The Konkani language is spoken widely in the Western Coastal region of India known as Konkan. This consists of the Konkan division of Goa, South Canara, North Canara (karwar) ,Maharashtra and some part of Kerala. Each Area has a different dialect, pronunciation style, vocabulary, tone and sometimes, significant differences in grammar.
